Due to strong demand, The Sembrich has added an additional showing of Under The Greenwood Tree: Shakespeare in Nature, an immersive outdoor performance by the Adirondack Shakespeare Company, at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25. Visitors will explore The Sembrich’s lakeside grounds while enjoying scenes prepared by the actors of the Adirondack Shakespeare Company in this unique outdoor experience. Specially curated for The Sembrich’s landscapes and waterscapes, these musical and dramatic selections from the plays of William Shakespeare speak to the beauty and magic of the natural world.

“We are delighted that many people in the Adirondack region are interested in attending this unique event,” says Executive Director Suzanna M. Bernd. “To be able to experience Shakespeare under the pines and next to the lake is truly special! The Sembrich grounds provide an ideal setting!”

Performances of Under the Greenwood Tree: Shakespeare in Nature are at 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at TheSembrich.org/festival or by calling The Sembrich’s office at (518) 644-2431.

This event has a rain date scheduled for Thursday, August 25. If needed, The Sembrich will announce the use of this rain date by 6:00 PM on the day prior to the performance.

This event is sponsored by the Lake George Land Conservancy.
