The Sembrich to Host Live-Stream of Seagle Festival’s World Premiere Opera HARMONY with a Champagne Toast
The Sembrich will host a live-stream of Seagle Festival’s world premiere opera HARMONY with a champagne toast on Saturday, August 14 at 7:00 PM. The evening will include a live introduction by The Sembrich’s Artistic Director Richard Wargo, a champagne toast, and a live-streamed screening of Seagle Festival’s world premiere event.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Seagle Festival once more and bring this premiere to the shores of Lake George at The Sembrich,” says Executive Director Suzanna M. Bernd. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to our lakeside grounds for a festive evening and the premiere of this new opera, set in the Adirondack region.”
HARMONY, by Robert Carl and Russell Banks, is set in Keene Valley, NY and includes numerous Adirondack references. The opera tells the story of young composer Charles Ives, his love for high-class harmony Twichell, and the interference of Twichell family friend Mark Twain in their Betrothal – based on true events!
Tickets are $20 and are available online at TheSembrich.org/festival or via phone at (518) 644-2431. This event is generously sponsored by the Lake George Mirror.
